Happiness and success are goals we all strive for. But how do we achieve these goals, and how do we protect ourselves if we fail? The answer lies within the power of the mind. Dr. Joseph Murphy, one of the world's best--known authorities on the power of the subconscious mind, shows readers not only how to unleash this power, but how to harness it and effectively use it to change their lives. Fully updated to reflect the sensibilities of the 21st century, this revised edition of a self--help classic is the key to overcoming the psychological barriers that stand in the way of greater material, spiritual, and emotional wealth. It is Murphy’s basic tenet that it is our birthright to be rich. But we create what we focus on, so instead of focussing on what we lack, we need to focus on wealth. Throughout the book, he provides us with many case histories of people who have become wealthy and successful by using his affirmative prayers and meditations.
If you’re bogged down by problems, he suggests this prayer:
“Divine wisdom and Divine right action of my subconscious, solve this problem. I release the matter and let it go.”
We should repeat the following affirmation for five minutes night and morning:
“I am now writing in my subconscious mind the idea of God’s wealth. God is the Source of my supply and all my needs are met at every moment of time and point of space. God’s wealth flows freely, joyously, and ceaselessly into my experience, and I give thanks for God’s riches forever circulating on my experience.”
When thoughts of lack come to you such as “I can’t afford that trip” or “I can’t pay that bill”, reverse the thought immediately by affirming “God is my instant and everlasting supply, meeting that need right now.”
The book is not just about how to improve one’s finances but also improving one’s relationships, health and resolving any conceivable problems.
He informs us that even if we spend five minutes in the morning and evening affirming prosperity but at the same time think and talk about our financial problems, etc, all day, we will not make any progress financially.
He tells us we should never underestimate the powers of personally affirming God to be our instant and everlasting supply that never fails.
Murphy also gives us a valuable exercise we can do which will bring us love and riches. (It also healed one of his clients of tuberculosis.) For every person you pass, affirm “God’s love fills your soul. The riches of God are yours now.”
We are also gifted with a prayer to banish anxiety over debts.
“God is the source of my supply. – The money I now possess is magnified and multiplied a thousandfold. --- I turn to the Infinite Presence within, knowing in my heart and soul it opens the way for me to pay all my debts, leaving me a vast surplus. I surrender a list of all these debts in the hands of my Heavenly Father, and I give thanks they are all paid in Divine order. God’s riches are circulating in my life, and I rejoice and am exceedingly glad that every creditor is paid now, and God prospers me beyond my fondest dreams. ---“
In fact, the book is filled to the brim with valuable prayers that can be used to solve multifarious problems.
This is an amazing, wonderful book, which provides the reader with invaluable support for all the problems one might have, and I now hope to receive my own copy in the post, perhaps tomorrow. ( )
