Who Am I? is a fun book. There is a bit of irony within the plot of this book because the Chameleon is the main character who is asking everyone who he is, while also changing colors to match the animal he is talking to. I found this element of creative writing to be most entertaining. In addition, the illustration are great! The many different animals that the Chameleon runs into, are all illustrated with neat colors and facial expressions. Furthermore, there is an element of informational text within this book. With each passing animal that the Chameleon approaches, the animal presents their name and a fact about themselves which happens to be true of that particular animal in real life. For example, the cheetah says that he is the fastest land animal on earth! Who Am I? is informative while engaging the reader with neat elements of writing and illustrations. ( )

On a hot day in the middle of a jungle sat a small white egg cracking and moving around. A small creature popped out The shell and started to make it's way around the deep jungle. While the creature was making it's way through the jungle the creature was meeting many different animals along the way. The small creature was trying to figure where he came from and who he was. Every time he saw a new animal he would ask who am I and where do I come from. Unfortunately every animal had the same answer, I have no idea. Eventually the small creature found a friendly alligator who was willing to help him find who he was and where he came from. As the creature was going with the alligator the creature heard a voice say "There you are!" He thankfully turned around and saw a creature that looked just like him but bigger. This creature finally found out what he was, he was a baby chameleon the most beautiful and unusual creature in the world.

This book is a great book for many children to read. It has many different animals in it and also has little facts about each of them as the chameleon made it's way through the woods. The bright colors also added a lot to this book and made it more interesting when showing the pictures to the young faces that will be viewing them.
