Although he declares he no longer needs toys or vegetables, alone at night, he has difficulty falling asleep. When he goes downstairs to get his stuffed animal, he finds a thief. He chases him into the night, through a park, through a chocolate factory, through a museum, and a carnival. When the thief hops on a hot air balloon, so does Randall, until the hot air balloon gets popped by a building. Randall lands safely on the building, even saving the thief's life. The mayor was so proud, she gave him a key to the city. By the time he got home, Randall was so tired he fell asleep in his bed with his stuffed animal immediately. A very cute story with a cute ending about not rushing to grow up! ( ) Cute, but not really my cup of tea. Randall, a very young boy, suddenly declares that he is no longer a little boy. This means he no longer sleeps with is stuffed pig. After difficulty trying to sleep, he goes downstairs and finds a robber stealing his pig (and only his pig). He chases the robber all over the city yelling "Stop Thief" all the way to a hot air balloon. the balloon runs into a building and randall ends up saving the theif, getting a key to the city, and falls asleep with his stuffed pig. I thought it was going to be a dream, but it was apparently real. The images in the story were nicely done and quite entertaining. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
