The hapless Roger Rabbit is framed for the murder of Marvin Acme, who was photographed "playing patticake" with Roger's wife Jessica. The mixed live and animated action takes place in Hollywood and next-door "Toontown," where humans and "Toons" co-exist.
A lot of the attempted humor doesn't work (especially anything involving Roger), but there's enough that does to keep things entertaining. Meanwhile, the premise is brilliant enough that it doesn't even need to be funny. My inner six-year-old is still losing his shit over the fact that Disney and Looney Tunes characters are in the same movie.
