Battleship is a book based of an alien invasion in the near future. The main characters are Alex Hopper, Stone Hopper, Sam Shane, and Admiral Terrance Shane. Alex Hopper trys his luck with a girl named Sam. He ends up getting arrested and Stone Hooper gives Alex 2 options; Navy or the street. 5 years later Alex is in the Navy with his fiance, Sam. He ends up getting a court-marshel, however he goes out to sea and finds an alien ship. When Stone opens fire upon the ship, the aliens retaliate, killing Stone Hopper in front of Alex's very eyes.

I would recomend this book to Si-Fi fans. The best part of this book is that it is possible for Humans to fight back. It shows that no matter the defrince, all humans will stand up for each other to fight. I did, however, not like the really emotional parts. I would also like for there to be another book like this. The funny parts DO stand out and are really witty. I dont see why so many people make fun of the Navy. ( )
