My review:

I always wonder how many assistants fall for their bosses. Well, Sabrina surely did. And Dante was scared out of his mind. It is strange to see all the reasons some people will have not to be in a relationship. Dante is no different.

Synopsis:

Sabrina Tyler is head over heels in love with her boss and best friend, Dante Hart. She thinks that Dante has no romantic interest in her but she's wrong.

Dante doesn't believe in love or commitment or any kind. Sabrina has gotten under his skin, but Dante has no intention of acting on it.

One wild night changes their relationship forever, but Dante lacks faith in love and doesn't believe in Happily Ever Afters.

Can Sabrina break through and fix what's broken in Dante Hart? ( )

This was good. It wasn't stellar, but it was quite good. There were many typos and such though. I enjoyed the book but it didn't wow me in any real way. ( )

I grabbed this book while it was Free & let me tell you it would have been worth the $3.99 it costs now this is one Hot Book!
Lots of raunchy sex- almost too much but not quit.
Dante was up front with Sabrina from the get go about not doing the relationship thing but he sure wasn't acting like he didn't want that so it was confusing for Sabrina when Dante flat out said that the thing between them would just run it course- truly heart breaking. Sabrina did what any self respecting girl would do and walked away. My stomach was in knots with this heart break. Just when I thought Dante was coming around to his senses he broke her heart again (and mine too). You will have to read it to find out if it will work out for them in the end and if Dante can actually let go of his silly allusion that he will never have a relationship and be in love. Great ending.

This book actually surprised me and turned out to be better than I expected. Cute although a little bit predictable love story. Romance type: in love with the boss, friend to lovers, hero scarred in childhood ...
Be warned: a lot of explicit scenes (rough estimate 50-60% of the book). ( )

This book wasn’t very memorable for me. It’s been a few weeks since I’ve read it and now I have a hard time even coming up with something to say.

The writing was standard, not bad, but by far not the best I’ve read. The same goes for the characters: standard main characters with a tragic past and funny but standard background characters. Can you see the trend there?

I didn’t find any uniqueness in this book and while that didn’t make it exactly boring, it didn’t make me love this book either. Plot and characters were just like many other I’ve read about and that’s probably why this is so hard to review: there’s just nothing about this book that stood out to me. I’ve read it quite fast but I could’ve done without it as well, so that leaves me with a pretty indifferent feeling.

Broken Hart certainly had potential but like I said above, it lacked something that made it unique, something that would set this book apart from twenty other books just like this one. Maybe others found that “something” in Broken Hart, even if I didn’t.

As I have the second book on my reader, I’ll read that one as well, but hadn’t I already bought it before I read this one, I wouldn’t have bothered. I just hope that things will improve. ( )
