Under His Skin by Jennifer Blackstream
I had the honour of receiving a free copy of this book several months ago and because of work and family issues, I was unable to read it until a week ago. I started to read and read until I had finished. The story was intriguing and because I love stories that show good imagination and are well written I simply could not put it down. So what is the story, in short it is a love story but also a story of stolen identity of the worst kind. It is a story of magic, shape shifting, revenge and love. We have all heard that “love conquers all” I am sure, but the author has really shown it. The story is also a good example of how violence is not always the answer to problems. A beautiful tale and well written, though a little more editing would not hurt. Well worth a read and I would wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone with an ounce of imagination. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to read it. ( )

Good Paranormal romance set in modern-day Alaska. Story was fast paced, characters and events were well written. Overall very enjoyable read! Recommended for those that like their romance with shape-shifters, fairies and fantasy mixed in.

I loved this book! It was sexy, it had chemistry in its characters, it had an original story and I couldn't put it down!

Ana and Brec sizzled as they worked against each other to get what they wanted and even more when they worked together. My favorite parts of the book were when she woke up tied to the bed because she was being held hostage for what she stole. And later a very sizzling shower scene.

These characters will definitely take you on a ride and get under your skin keeping you up at night to finish the book and know how it ends. ( )

Right off the bat I loved the dedication "To the sailor's out there who know there's more in the sea than fish." Ana is not really a likable leading lady- even when she tries to redeem herself - she is still broken. Brec is a truly remarkable healer- taking care and healing "someone" who is your enemy. That's the most thought provoking part of the book. The storyline was somewhat predictable but it was entertaining none the less. ( )

I enjoyed this books. It was a different look at skin walkers. Ana has lived her life being able to take the form of arctic fox, until two years ago. A jealous ex burned her fox skin with the hope that she would stay with him and give up her time as a fox. Ana has spent two years looking for a way to fix it, and she is just barely hanging onto her sanity. Brec is a healer who has spent his life wishing to be a warrior. They meet, she steals his skin, and the craziness begins.

At the start of this story I did not like Brec, but as the book continued, I enjoyed watching him change. All in all this was a very likable, fun paranormal romance. I would recommend this story to anyone looking for a light quick read! ( )
