( ) Really 2.5 stars, maybe 2.75. Everybody's is seeking the Qomrama Om Ya, the ultimate weapon, which was last seem in Aelita's possession. James Stark (Sandman Slim) lets everyone know he is looking for it, and then has to find someone in Kill City (a collapsed mall in Santa Monica, mostly inhabited by ghosts), who supposedly knows where it is. Definitely the weakest full length novel in the series. Everybody's looking for the Qomrama Om Ya, the ultimate weapon. Some of them think James Stark has it. He doesn't, but he doesn't want anyone else to get it so he's searching for it. Typical of James, he's searching in all the most dirty, foul, dangerous, terrifying places. But what do you expect from Sandman Slim, killer of monsters, and former Lucifer? In this book, more than ever before, James isn't alone. He's been evolving since the first book in this series, transitioning from the Sandman Slim who escaped Hell into James, with friends and family. He isn't used to it, but he's starting to like it. This series is very obviously rushing toward a confrontation with the old gods. They've been leaking through into our universe, bit by tiny bit, and it seems that now much more than a bit may have arrived. I can't wait to see what's next. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
