Marmalade was the best character in the book, he reminded me of a cat I once had. ( ) The premise for the story made me chuckle, so I decided to give the book a try. It's a book that is about two parts whodunit mystery, one part romance. I'm not a big romance reader, but once I got through that pocket of the book, I found the rest of the story to be a quick, entertaining read. Surprisingly, the character I sympathized with and liked the most was Marmalade, the cat. Lots of things seemed a bit far-fetched or potentially inaccurate, but suspension of disbelief goes a long way in being able to enjoy a novel. Definitely an enjoyable book! I really enjoyed this book, and recommend it! You get two cozy mysteries for the price of one. After the mystery was solved and everything was wrapping up, I noticed that the book was about 75% complete (on my Kindle). I figured that there was an excerpt from the next book in the Dunbarton Mystery Series. Lo and behold, a #X&$@ occurred (I don't give spoilers in reviews), and so there was another mystery to solve. Both mysteries were solved satisfactorily. The characters were likeable, with two who grew to like each other very much indeed. Marmalade the cat was a scene-stealer whenever he appeared. Have I whetted your appetite? Read the book! geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
