Tai takes her security expert boyfriend along with her to Savannah to track down the bible. The plot thickens significantly when they reach Savannah. As one would expect in a mystery novel a corpse or two turn up. The fast-paced story kept me interested. Tai Randolph is a realistically rendered character with a fair share of flaws. However I personally find her boyfriend Trey, gratingly uptight. He comes off as well-dressed Terminator.
I was gratified to read a book that portrays Savannah, GA as it is rather than resorting to the cliched moonlight and magnolia/ghosts/roguish plantation owner stuff.
I look forward going back and reading the other two books with Tai. ( )
