I loved the originality of the plot in this story. The premise of humans chosen to become supernatural entities by a higher power is fabulous in itself, but there was also an added bonus as this was a ménage between a human, a demon and an angel. Oh and the ménage is MMF which is ALWAYS a winner for me; you know in my world everyone loves and has sex with each other :D I loved the set-up of the games too; very creepy and disturbing but a fantastic setup for a hero-rescues-heroine-from-mortal-danger plot device. Although the amount of rape threats unsettled me slightly...

To even entertain this one, you have to be OK with the insta-mate plot device. You also have to be OK with the fact that, in this particular plot, once that other half has been recognised, the human lady in question will be sick until the mating has been finalised. I’m used to the whole device (I’ve read PNR for year’s people) but I have to say that the use of it here left me hating Ambrose. He left Jamie suffering for a year whilst he denied the bond and, to be honest, that hacked me off. It also made me feeling a little...conflicted. I wanted Jamie well but I didn’t really think Ambrose was hero material. However there was no way for the situation to be resolved without a pairing and this made me feel stuck. Thank heavens for Balin is all I’m going to say J

The first third of the book was a little slow for me, with things in the scenes occurring and resolving a little too conveniently for me to truly invest in any conflict, but after that I really engaged with the story-telling. From the part where they were altogether I started to get into the book and from then on in I enjoyed the tale. I particularly enjoyed the character of Balin; the whole born demon but chose to be good was a fantastic angle and I just loved his ability to be completely open with both of his mates. He was swoon-worthy J

My favourite part of this tale was the romance between the triad. I felt, after the ordeal they all went through, the romance was vindicated and I didn’t have a reason not to want them together. It is always hard not to take a insta-mate romance with a pinch of salt, and not really care about it, but this romance truly did make them better people. I also liked that the MM aspect of the romance encompassed the fact that both of these men were warriors (no mean fete) and didn’t make me feel they were any softer for their love for each other... oh, and the scenes between them were ridiculously hot! The sex scenes throughout the book were full of chemistry and heat but, I must confess, I enjoyed the ones with MM contact more.

There were a multitude of different sub-plots within this book and it did keep the storyline fresh and keep the pages turning for me. The action never quite stopped but through it all the romance kept building and by the end I did want them to be happy. I loved that I already know the next romance too.

Overall, this was a good read with a premise that will keep me reading the next ones in the series. With a steamy MMF ménage set within a paranormal world, it certainly increased my blood pressure and left me wanting more J ( )

Well...nothing like going through hell...in hell.

I absolutely loved Ambrose, Jamie and Balin. I was totally rooting (spelling?) for Ambrose and Jamie together, wasn't expecting a third.

I love the description of hell and all who inhabit it. It is good to know that you can find good anywhere.

Jamie is ready for Ambrose, but unsure about a triad. Who wouldn't be? But, things start to come together and Jamie gets her supernatural ability of.....Ahh well, I won't spoil it.

If you are looking for some action, love and storms, this is a book you will want to read. ( )
