The world build, the characters, everything about this series is fantastic.
While I can say this is my favorite (it isn't), it is still very good.
There was room for improvement.
I think it would have been better if it was a bit longer.

I have been curious about Terrent & Maggie and wanted to learn more about them.
So part of my problem is it felt a bit rushed. It felt like some of their story was missing.

It is a very good read.
There is a good bit of action and suspense.
The intimate scenes are adult & steamy.

I just expected a better connection to them with more answers than what we got.

Still, I love this series and I highly recommend it. ( )

After being rescued from the Kurjans Maggie has lived with the vampires, in the Kayrs compound, but now she needs to spend some time around other wolf shifters in the hopes it will help her with her lost memories. Somehow Alpha wolf Terrent Vilks is tied to her past, but he refuses to say how. He wants her to remember on her own. Shifters can live a very long time, so he has plenty of patience. However, after years, his patience is starting to wear thin. It’s time Maggie remember her promise to him.

Another decent read in the Dark Protector series. Even though it’s short, it doesn’t lack in action, mystery and hotness. For once we get a view outside the Kayrs compound and focus on some of the other players in this series. It makes for a nice change, no matter how much I love the Kayrs clan and their mates. I love the reveal at the end, too. lolol I look forward to seeing more of Maggie and Terrent. ( )

I was intrigued by the world Zanetti built with her wolf shifters, vampires, and the mention of demons and werewolves and it sounded like other shifters although they aren't actually in this book. I thought it was well written and definitely a great series for paranormal fans. ( )

Pretty good story to close Maggie's plot, though I wish it were a full novel, seeing as Terrent and her had a big build-up in previous books. Really want to see how Jase's life will turn out now. ( )
