Didn't like as much as the first one but I do very much like this authors writing style. Very enjoyable to read. ( )

Keeps you involved to the conclusion and ready for more of their story. An excellent read.

FROM PUBLISHER: Calling Anna and Bennett's romance long distance is an understatement: she's from 1995 Chicago and he's a time traveler from 2012 San Francisco. The two of them never should have met, but they did. They fell in love, even though they knew they shouldn't. And they found a way to stay together, against all odds.

It's not a perfect arrangement, though, with Bennett unable to stay in the past for more than brief visits, skipping out on big chunks of his present in order to be with Anna in hers. They each are confident that they'll find a way to make things work...until Bennett witnesses a single event he never should have seen (and certainly never expected to). Will the decisions he makes from that point on cement a future he doesn't want? ( )

Time After Time is the sequel to Time Between Us, and after reading Time Between Us I did not think that there was going to be another book. I was happy to learn that this book would arrive this fall and that it would be told from Bennett’s point of view instead of Anna’s. I think that this book was just as good as the first one but for different reasons.

In book one, I was taken aback by the way that time-travel worked so easily (and not so easily). I had just read other time-travel books that I was NOT ok with so this was a welcome change. Needless to say the time travel is still wonderful in this installment but what really catches the reader (or at least myself) was that we finally learn how Bennett feels about everything that happens to him.

In Time Between Us, he is the bad boy time traveler who is there and then gone again, who may or may not use his powers for good, all while Anna ponders the implications of it all. In Time After Time, we learn how tormented Bennett really is by his abilities and how stressful it can be for him. That he is really not the bad boy at all but a stressed out, freak of a kid, who wants some normalcy in his life but is in love with a girl from a completely different time period from his own.

I think that learning more about Bennett really made this book stronger than I originally thought it would be. The relationship between Anna and Bennett is bizarre and amazing and these books gave the readers something that other books haven’t, both sides of the story (to a degree).

Boricuan Bookworms- Book Reviews .

This book made me incredibly happy. I also think this falls under the category of “Best Sequel I’ve Read This Year”. I am not lying.

This book is told in Bennett’s POV and it was so refreshing! I LOVED the fact that we got to see what Bennett was thinking all this time and I sympathized with him so much more than in book one!

In this book there’s actually a little bit more than romance to focus on. This time, Bennett is learning that with his power comes great responsibility (hahaha I’m such a nerd), and he’s trying to find a way to live with his ability, and also with the decisions that he takes each day. He wants so desperately to help people and to change certain outcomes, but he needs to figure out what the overall outcome is. I liked seeing this part of this struggle because while the time travel aspect is not scientifically explained, we see an actual conflict that stems from his ability.

The romance here is just as wonderful and it was in the first book and in this story I was on the edge because it was the last book. That meant that everything had to be resolved here. I was so afraid for Anna and Bennett because they snuck into my heart and I found myself wishing the best for them. It was definitely very emotionally draining as we realize that their romance is anything but easy, and while only teenagers they feel an emotion so intense that you can’t help but believe them.
“What do you mean what I want? When is this ever about what I want? I don’t have anything –not one single thing- that I want. Don’t you get it? […] I get to have this tiny little taste of all these incredible things but I don’t get to keep any of them. I get to meet you and be part of your life, […] but I don’t get to hold on to any of it. I can’t stay here. This isn’t my home. And every time I have to go back, it kills me. Every. Single. Time.”

My only gripe with this book is the fact that I wanted so much MORE. I wanted to know more and more. Anna and Bennett’s story is one I’ll definitely never forget and I’ll be sure to reread when I’m in the mood for a book that’ll make me smile.

Overall, Tamara Ireland Stone wonderfully wrote this book. She found a way to give us a real, tangible, conflict and write a wonderful resolution that was completely believable.
