If you're wondering how moving a holepunch can possibly lead to an exciting story, you're not the only one. When I saw this book for the first time, I thought the same thing. So, I picked up the book, so to speak, and read with great interest what wonderfully quirky characters Anne Brooke has come up with now. With that title the situation was promising from the very start. And, let me tell you, I wasn't disappointed.

Imagine a man who loves his exciting job of timetabling, someone for whom everything has to be "just so", and the unexpected may be acceptable from students and other outside forces, but not from himself. He likes to have things in order and everything in its place. Including his holepunch, of course! That is exactly who Darren is, and he's ideally suited for his job at a local college. Now, as much as he likes things to be in order, he also develops a definite "naughty" streak as soon as he sets eyes on Max, the active registrar and his de-facto boss. I found this contradiction between his basic personality and the way he ends up behaving very interesting! The things they get up to after hours are very kinky and sensual. Holepunch? What holepunch?

Max may be the acting registrar and Darren's boss, and he is hesitant about starting an affair at work, but he can't seem to resist Darren. Not that I can blame him. With the commanding personality Darren is capable of turning into, and as good a kisser as he is, Max would be an idiot to resist longer than a few minutes. And when Darren turns out to be a real asset during a critical college inspection, Max stops even trying to resist.

If you like stories with a touch or humor, if you enjoy reading about quirky, somewhat unusual characters, and if you're looking for a hot read that contains just a touch of kink and a lot of office sex, you will probably like this book.
