I am a big fan of the BBC series "Sherlock" and I just loved this slash fiction piece. The voice of Sherlock felt very much like his character from the TV series and I found the slow burn between Sherlock and Holmes very gratifying. It also had some dry humor and some sensuality. The crime plots were only touched very briefly, but I enjoyed the strewn in deductions. What made this so great for me, was mainly the unique voice of Sherlock. Weak four stars or very strong three. This is written as though Sherlock were a medical student with an insanely high emotional IQ. He uses lots of technical terms, especially for body parts, and he's very detail oriented, but this struck me as a screen for the fact that really, he's much too wrapped up in his own head to care about the outside world. All of his actual genius and insight are completely dedicated to picking apart his feelings for John Watson, John Watson's feelings for him, the potential routes that a romance between them would take. If this were an alternate universe story where Sherlock was a fifteen year old girl and not an adult consulting detective, it would be amazing. Because the author does translate romantic obsessing into a sharp, smart, perpetual emotional dissection that feels right for the character. (As a fifteen year old girl). Plot wise, the story follows a threat to Sherlock and Watson's partnership. Watson meets a woman, gets married, and Sherlock struggles to accept Watson's changed circumstances - especially when he thinks he has information that could break up the marriage. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe

(I promise no mushy stuff! or kissy stuff!)
Sherlock shows John something on the internet. An homage to the BBC show in the style of the original stories. (
