After reading OUT OF THE DARKNESS with all it's twists and turns , Lilly Gayle writes a sequel, EMBRACE THE DARKNESS. In this book, the question " To Be or Not To Be" a vampire's love has Amber Buckley, a former soldier and MP turned Detective questioning her own existance and working to solve murders, including her own mother's cold case. With help from Gerald Delaroche, a vampire, she is drawn into a very deadly twist that keeps them afraid of trusting each other and nothing is as it seems.
Lilly Gayle weaves a powerful conspiracy between the two worlds of vampires and mortals with very believable supernatural seductions, dark secrets and a fever-pitched conclusion that has me spell-bound until the last page.
Both OUT OF THE DARKNESS and EMBRACE THE DARKNESS are excellent reads that had me turning the pages and kept me guessing until the end. Each book can stand on its own without reading the other, but best if read together. ( )
