Been too Long and could not get back into the series. DNF ( )

Bom, este livro deixou-me sobre o que pensar... Começando pela história, esta é muito simples. As vezes quando temos tudo, não conseguimos perceber o que nos faz realmente falta, e é isso que aconteceu à Kelsey Summers. Dividida entre a vida rica dos pais e entre o sucesso dos amigos, ela deixou de perceber onde realmente pertece. Por isso, decide fazer uma viagem pela Europa, para tentar perceber o que ela quer fazer da vida. No entanto, a vida dela está sempre à volta do mesmo - álcool, rapazes, sexo e pouco mais que isso, justificando-se que "não faz mal ser tocada, não faz mal sentir-se mal". Numa das suas saídas em Budapeste, ela conhece o senhor certinho e chato - Hunt, mas que ela não consegue conquistar facilmente como está habituada a fazer. Assim, ela entra num jogo de sedução com ele, sem se aperceber o quanto ele a percebe e o quanto ele quer ajuda-la.

Achei que o livro explicava bem como uma pessoa se sente quando se apaixona, além disso, mostra a luta constante interna entre o que devemos ser e o que queremos ser. Apesar de ser um livro "chachada", acaba por despertar sentimentos que provavelmente não sabiamos que tinhamos. Também é um livro de viagem e redescoberta de nós próprios. O Hunt foi sem dúvida a minha personagem preferida, a Kelsey é um pouco desmotivada e no final um pouco parva, mas tem que haver drama...

Acho que é um livro que se lê facilmente, mas deixa qualquer coisa no coração que é complicado explicar. NO ENTANTO, já vi que muitas pessoas não gostaram do livro, eu julgo que seja porque acharam a personagem princial suepr aborrecida e que não fazia sentido nenhum! ( )

totally predictable but somehow still enjoyable

(basically the same plot as those movies about the president's daughter going to college or traveling Europe and falling in love with someone who turns out to be secret service, minus the president) ( )

This is the third companion book in the Losing It trilogy and I really enjoyed it! It was a quick read full of traveling and adventure and obviously some romance as well. One thing I noticed is that there were a lot of communication problems between the characters and that frustrated me a bit. I feel like communication problems are pretty prevalent in a lot of New Adult books, and it gets a little bit annoying especially when it seems like sometimes it can avoided.

Other that than, this book was really good! ( )

Kelsey Summers is a rich girl traveling around Europe in an effort to spend her father's money (and get his attention). After she is roofied and saved by hunky Jackson Hunt, he convinces her to travel for adventure rather than just for the partying.
I had a hard time liking Kelsey, and Jackson, while nice was kind of a cipher. The ending was about what you'd expect, not very believable or interesting. I did like the descriptions of Terre Cinque and other places in Italy. I've been there and Ms. Carmack did a nice job portraying the setting. But the drama and for no real reason. Thank goodness it's a quick read. ( )
