Just when you think author A.L. Jackson can't pull the reader's heartstrings any tighter, in If Forever Comes, she pulls out all the stops and weaves an unforgettable, heart wrenching, and breathtaking conclusion to Christian and Elizabeth's journey.

Christian and Elizabeth's journey comes full circle in an intense style that takes the reader on an emotional roller coaster ride that leaves them completely spent. Written in the first person narrative alternating between Christian and Elizabeth's perspectives, the conclusion to their journey is filled with so much angst, struggle, heartache, hopes, dreams, joy and love. Their gut wrenching emotions are palpable and painful, yet oh so beautiful, you can't help but get drawn into their story and feel compassion for them, you will definitely be reaching for the box of tissues.

The author creates a cast of characters that are simply amazing! They are realistic, complex, down-to-earth people with flaws that are easy to relate to. Their interactions, dialogue and emotions are dramatic, the individual perspectives are told in a clever and realistic way that the reader can relate to both Elizabeth and Christian. My emotions ran the gamut as my opinion towards both Elizabeth and Christian swayed back and forth. I could easily see myself in both of their positions, the author's descriptions of their emotions and perspectives is simply phenomenal. The supporting cast of characters are wonderful, they lend their love and support for Christian and Elizabeth in a way that only family and friends can provide. I absolutely loved the support that Matthew and Natalie provide to Elizabeth and Christian. I would be remiss if I didn't mention my favorite character, little Lizzie. This little girl simply won my heart over with her preciousness.

The author's thoughtful message that through all the pain, struggle and loss, true love does survive comes shining through in this awesome series, it is a wonderful gift that the author has given to her readers.

If Forever Comes is an amazingly powerful and emotionally intense story that will simply move you. It is an unforgettable story about love, loss, friendship and family that will resonate with the reader long after the last word has been read.

If Forever Comes is the third book in the Take This Regret series. I cannot stress enough to the reader that in order to fully appreciate this wonderful series, they should read each book in sequential order.
