This series Keeps Getting Better!

Through Audiobook Jukebox, I volunteered to listen to this audio book for review. I did the same with the first of this series, Kaleb, and am so glad that I did.

Alluring Indulgence by Nicole Edwards(a spin-off series to her Club Destiny series) is a seven book series focusing, in turn, on each of the seven Walker Brothers of Coyote Ridge, Texas, and the new club, Alluring Indulgence, they are working to build and open. The first book, Kaleb, the shortest so far, introduced readers to the family of seven sons, begins to lay out a bit of their history and family dynamic as the story focused on the middle son, Kaleb, and his romantic interest, Zoey.

With Zane, book 2, we move on from the introduction into the meatier portions of this seven-part story. Zane is nearly twice the length of Kaleb, and the next two books, Travis and Ethan, will take even more pages to develop and carry the story forward. Miss Edwards is in no way short-changing her readers! The first two stories, while part of a series can indeed be read as stand-alone. They do not end with the main characters in a cliff hanger situation, though they do provide hooks to draw the reader into the next book about the next son. Also, this second book does not require the reading of the first book first.

Word of warning: if you are uncomfortable with menage au trois situations or M/M, you will need to think before reading this series. I am not particularly drawn to these types of relationships, but I strongly commend Miss Edwards for her tasteful handling of these consenting explorations.

Regarding the audio book version of this story, Blackstone Audio has done a terrific job with this production. The first two books, Kaleb and Zane, are told from two points of view, the Him and the Her and two narrators, male and female, read the two POVs, allowing for a more realistic rendering of the story. In this case, the narrators are Jameson Adams and Seraphine Valentine. Both readers did an excellent job instilling emotion into their character's speaking and nonspeaking parts. This is what sets an audio book apart from a book book -- the reading of the story with the accents, pauses, feelings and more.

There were no background distractions, no mispronunciations or alternate pronunciations of words (more common in Australian English, British English, vs American English), no music between chapters (many listeners do not appreciate this interlude) and a comfortable pause between chapters or between mid-chapter scene changes.

In summary, I highly recommend this book, this series and this audio book version. ( )

WOW I can't even think clearly right now after reading this Book. It was 100% Hot steamy Alpha Man intoxicating.
