That is, until he realizes just how much fun it is to share and decides to share his toy with his friends. This book is helpful for teaching children the importance of sharing their things with others. It is a Scholastic Level 1 book aimed at beginning readers in grades Pre-K-1. Each page of the book has one or two short, simple sentences with sight words and words that beginning readers will be able to either sound out on their own or figure out from clues in the related illustrations. The illustrations are simple, with one to three colored drawings of dogs per page. The illustrations and text are surrounded by plenty of white space, which is beneficial for children just beginning to read on their own. The back cover of the book contains a description of what classifies each level of Scholastic Reader books (from Pre Level 1- 3). This book is short and simple, but since it gives an important lesson about sharing, it is worth having in any school or library collection. ( ) I felt as if this was an extremely easy book for first graders. It has great morals though. The way that all of the dogs are eventually fighting over the same toy was a good way to compare children to them. At the en of the book it said sharing is so much fun! Hopefully teachers could include this in a plan when talking about manners. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
