Lunn's autobiographical account of his start as a journalist in Brisbane, Queensland in the 1960's. In some ways this is a remarkably unremarkable account, but there's an authenticity to this account and considerable charm in the telling. Lunn went on to a long career in journalism, including some years in Vietnam covering the war, but always maintained his connection with Queensland where he now lectures in journalism. I can easily recommend this for any Australian students of journalism, or anyone with an interest in Australia or specifically Queensland during the 1960's. It is however most likely that the reader will become aware of this book through reading some of his later books, and in that case I can say with assurance that this one will not disappoint. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe

There are books dealing with both earlier ( ie school) and later periods of his life, which I will be searching out. ( )
