I probably shouldn't have bothered with this one, but I thought it might enhance the first book in the series. Unfortunately, it didn't, and as the first one was so short anyway, this should have just been added to it to make one book.
Saffi is pregnant, but afraid to tell Staffan because why not keep lying? Their whole relationship is pretty much built on lies. When he misunderstands the situation, of course he leaves her until a ridiculous blackmail scheme forces them to marry. The whole storyline is so juvenile I almost didn't finish reading it, especially since you can see the ending a mile away.
Also, again the author used Mayfair when she should have said Mayflower. It's a little thing, but honestly, do some research. (
