I enjoyed the character of Deidra, but I felt myself getting upset with her mother by the way she was treated. It had a good story line because I'm sure there are girls who could relate to the situation Deidre was in. None of the problems were really her fault, but she got blamed for her mother's behavior. After reading 52 likes I could not wait to read this book. This is a very intense read, however as sad as it is this is real life for some.The characters are well developed. Deidra has had to leave her school, her friends, and her home. Her mother has her in the middle of a horrible situation. Her mother turns to prescription medication to get through the day. She acts like it's everyone else fault, and Deidra is to blame for the way her life has become. Deidra just wants to become invisible and finish her senior year. She faces terrible situations after the kids at her new school find out what her mother did. Deidra finds a ray of light with Malcolm. She is able to see her mother's mistake is not a reflection of her, and she does not have to pay for her mistakes. I really enjoyed this book.
