Deze bespreking is geschreven voor LibraryThing Vroege Recensenten. I read this as an early reviewer. The premise was interesting, and I wish the author had given it more 'punch;' much of it seemed a bit contrived and rushed. To be fair, it is not the first book in the series, so there were characters referenced whose interactions, histories and relationships I did not know, so perhaps knowing more of their backstory might have added a bit more depth? Nevertheless, I did enjoy it, and I think for a light bit of fluff reading it's sufficiently unusual to be worth it. No real gravitas here, though I will say I found the writing to be smoother than many of these kinds of titles - too often I simply can't get past the stilted and clunky prose - that was not the case here. ( )Deze bespreking is geschreven voor LibraryThing Vroege Recensenten. I loved this book. The characters from the previous books in the series were also written in. I love this series. I hope she writes another. Deze bespreking is geschreven voor LibraryThing Vroege Recensenten. I didn't like this book as much as I liked the previous one in the series. I'm not sure why. While the female protagonist was very vivid, the male protagonist just seemed kind of boring. The situations they were in seemed kind of ridiculous and many things from the earlier books still didn't make sense, e.g., the kidnapping of Donal, Os' son and the death of his wife. The book was OK and worth reading but still somewhat disappointing. Deze bespreking is geschreven voor LibraryThing Vroege Recensenten. Tbe haunted Magnus Oswin hears a regular plea from the person they describe as the Librarian. When he rescues her from the psychiatric institution she's in she's wearing a tin foil hat. She's been quite sheltered and tends to say what's on her mind rather thank thinking about how someone would take it. He finds that she keeps him on his toes, she finds that he's a distraction from her beloved computers. It's light, fun with a bit of a paranormal undertone and I enjoyed it, I will look for Patricia Rice again.
It seemed like an interesting read ,however i was disappointed by the lack of character and story-line development. I would give it 3 stars interesting, but not as memorable as I hoped Onderdeel van de reeks(en)
