A great follow-up to volume 1 - I really enjoyed this book and art. I like how the characters are developing and learning about each other. Several interesting plot twists throughout, including a couple at the end of the book. ( ) A continuation of the "Batman - Earth One" reboot, with a young Batman still learning as he goes, and a much more formidable Alfred helping him along. The Riddler is the main baddie here, although "Killer Croc" turns up with a much different treatment than of old. We also see a reboot of the classic "Two-Face" origin, again a different treatment. This is an interesting series, but I am much more intrigued by the work being done in the "Superman - Earth One" books. Perhaps someday we'll see the two heroes meet. "Worlds Finest - Earth One", maybe? I loved the first volume of this title and so I was very excited to read this one, and for the most part it lived up to that excitement. There was a lot going on. Killer Croc possibly eating people in the Gotham sewers, I really liked how that story went. We found out that Jessica Dent, Harvey’s twin sister, and Bruce Wayne have a past. Got to meet the Riddler and maybe also Catwoman (that was cool and subtle). This universe is just so much twistier than the main universe. And I also found it really weird to read about a non-meticulous, non-superior detective, not perfect (in fighting or detecting) Batman. Totally weirded me out. Still, it was a cool TPB. So-- when’s the next Volume. Heh heh... I got this advanced galley through Netgalley on behalf of DC Entertainment geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe

The Riddler has arrived in Gotham and he's terrorizing the city with his own twisted brand of anarchy. But why is he attacking now, and what is his endgame? The Riddler isn't Batman's only problem, as Killer Croc is on the streets and his violent crimes can't be ignored. Meanwhile, the Dark Knight has trouble reconciling the increasingly conflicting ideologies of Alfred Pennyworth and James Gordon in this gripping re-imagining of the Batman mythology.
