I would like to read this to my nieces and nephews because it is such an interactive book. The illustrations are very warm and friendly, which adds to the overall feeling of the book. ( ) Summary: This book is a folktale about a mouse and the moon. The mouse wants to eat the moon and eats a banana thinking that it is the moon. The mouse is very very sad that she has eaten the moon. Opinion: This is a cute book. I like books about the moon, I don’t know why. I was hoping for a little more culture in this book but maybe that’s racist. This is the story of a little mouse who goes to bed dreaming that she could have a small piece of the moon that shines so brightly in the sky. The next morning when she wakes up she realizes that her wish was granted (little did she know it was actually a banana). She took a closer look at her piece of the moon and saw that it smelled good, and so she ate half of it. Realizing what she had just done, the little mouse sadly walks around with the other half of her piece of the moon moping to other creatures in the forest. However, none of her friends believe she ate the moon so they take her to the top of a hill where the little mouse realizes she didn't eat the moon; in fact it is impossible to do that! This is a fantasy children's story. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
"Little Mouse loves to look up at the moon every night. But one night, when a piece of the moon falls from the sky, she can't resist taking a little nibble. And another. Soon the moon is no longer round. What will happen to it now? Children will be eager to turn the pages and peek through the holes in an amusing tale of temptation featuring Petr Horácek's bold, vibrant illustrations. Little Mouse finds the moon so beautiful that she longs to have a piece of it all to herself. What happens when her wish comes true? Geen bibliotheekbeschrijvingen gevonden. |
