Took a bit to get back into this title, but once I got into it. Whew…

It’s the second volume in the Batman/Superman team up stories (or, that’s how I’ve been thinking of it, I’m not sure of its official designation). This one takes place mostly in the main Earth (I think, although at times it seemed like a slightly different Earth than the main New 52 Earth which threw me off a bit). And then, in the last issue of the TPB, Power Girl and Huntress (Wayne still, not Bertinelli) get involved and that meant a pretty cool Earth 2 connected story. (What can I say, I’m a sucker for Earth 2, no matter what they’re doing to Kal and Bats over there).

The first few issues weren’t quite as cool, but were still solid. They involved Mongol, the Toymaster (Hiro), and a very, very either cool or uncool game (depending on which side you found yourself on) that even devolved a little bit into Batman vs. Superman.

Then Warworld appeared above the Earth, and Mongol’s son as well, and it did get a little more interesting.

It was a fun volume, although I really, really didn’t like the art.

I got this advanced galley through Netgalley on behalf of DC Entertainment ( )

Not a bad story, but took a while to figure out how the various issues in this volume tied together, especially after the first. The artwork was okay, but part of it was really disjointed and the characters didn't look like themselves. Reminded me of Mike Mignola's artwork. ( )
