Bear goes in search of a more comfortable place to hibernate and ends up where he began. Genial, predictable bedtime reading. ( ) this book is about a young bear who is getting ready to go into hibernation for the winter. He can't find a comfortable spot in the bear cave it is too loud, too crowded and very uncomfortable. So the bear decides to take an adventure into the woods to find him a bed to sleep in. When he goes into the woods, its too cold, windy, and wild for him. I think this book is good for the classroom because i can feel like the students would relate because children love quite places to sleep. With Eric Carle-like art, McFarland's book adds to an overcrowded field of animals searching for something, in this case, a bed. Bear goes to the bird, the rabbit, the hedgehog and of course none of their homes are suitable for a bear. By story's end, the cave that first seemed too noisy, too big, and too crowded is now, by comparison, just perfect. Yawn. Time to hibernate. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
