The third novella in Charlotte Phillips' deliciously sensual Do Not Disturb series. Christmas in London - a time for late night shopping on Regent's Street or ice skating at Somerset House under a blanket of twinkling fairy lights, the warming, welcoming aroma of mulled wine in the air... Or, alternatively, a time for bumping into the ghosts of one night stands past in Ella Scott's case! Checking into her boutique hotel for a weekend of Christmas shopping, the last person Ella expects to bump into at reception is Tom bloody Henley - ambitious doctor, highly eligible bachelor and with whom she had the most unbelievable, mind-blowing brief encounter five Christmases ago. But Ella slipped out quietly the morning after all those years ago for a reason and although Tom's got a look on his face that suggests Christmas has come early, there's no way she's going to be repeating past mistakes... right?… (meer)

Ella's in London for a shopping vacation. Tom's snowbound there waiting for the airport to reopen. Coincidentally they're in the same hotel and this isn't the first time they've shared a hotel. Years ago they had a great one-night stand that they both remember fondly. Tom wants to do it again but Ella doesn't do second nights. Or attachments. Or relationships. Tom does all those things. They decide to treat snowbound London as a fling, something that doesn't count in the real world. And they both intend for that to be all. But the romance of a snowy Christmas surprises them both.

This met my requirements for holiday reading. Lots of Christmas activities, the "spirit of Christmas," good sex, and reluctant embracing of romantic feelings. I'll check out the rest of Charlotte Phillips' books.

This is a cute romance book. Nothing really wrong with it, but for some reason it bored me a bit.

The first half of the book is taken up with the back and forth of "I want to....but I really shouldn't....but I want to....but I better not", the second half is "we did, it was great, but it can't work", until we get to the happy ending.

I really wanted to like this book. I usually love Brit authors and their books. ( )

Kiss Me On This Cold December Night is a lovely romantic tale which reinforces the magic of Christmas and the potential of the New Year.

As usual with the Do Not Disturb series an unsuspecting couple in this case Ella and Tom are drawn together by fate at a boutique hotel in London.

They've met before but still seem like strangers. After their one night stand five years previously which neither could quite forget they must abandon the rules that govern their lives along with their fear and take their chance of happiness.

I loved Ella. So brave facing yet another Christmas alone but Tom came across as poor little rich boy until the end when he redeemed himself in my eyes.

A lovely festive treat.

I received a copy of this e-book from Harper Collins Harper Impulse via NetGalley in return for an honest review. ( )
