Interesting: this one started outside of the pack which made it a bit hard to connect with as I went in expecting the pack. It can be jarring when expectations are not met.
Having said that, I eventually connected and enjoyed the story. A different approach, but still a well-developed story. The only thing that had bugged me was Brandt was said to be 11th in a large pack, and he just did not come across as that dominant. The final fight for pack placement answered the question and settled those questions. He was finally in a place where dominance displays were to settle his place in the pack, not protect his life. (

I really really liked the MCs in this one. The story too of course :)
I connected with the geek in Ethan and I really liked how different Brandt's experience of being a wolf is from the rest of the wolves we got to know so far, he had a certain connection and a kind of peace with nature we haven't seen in the rest of them.
I also liked the new development! I'm especially curious how the whole coming out to humans went since that part was kind of skipped with more focus on Brandt and Ethan. But I wasn't expecting it at all. And I can't wait to read the next installment because of it! (

I loved this next installment in the Hidden Wolves series. Kaje wrote a great, sexy story for Brandt and Ethan. I enjoyed watching Brandt figure out what is most important to him and fight against his pack bonds to get away from a situation that was about to become deadly. Seeing Simon, Paul, Aaron, and Zach was GREAT and I loved the interaction between them all. I was a bit annoyed at the lack of real consequence to Ethan's actions spying and wish it was discussed a bit more. Otherwise, I loved this and can't wait to see what comes next for the pack as they gear up for and live through Plan B. (
