RISKY LOVE is Book 1 in the new Alexandra's Love & Romance Series, by Denise Daniella Darcy, or Triple D as she is affectionately called. This follows her successful 1st series, Samantha's Love and Romance Series. Alexandra (Alex) Luciano: Quiet and reserved, a freelance photographer hiding her curvy and sexy body behind sweats and sneakers. Can she step out of her shell long enough to find love and romance with the hot and sexy, green-eyed model? Adam Thompson: A prime specimen of male virility and attractiveness, six feet one, a physique chiseled to perfection. Is he capable of seeing beyond the glasses, pony-tail and sweats to see the real woman, the real Alex? Gabriela (Gabby) Gonzales: A stunning model at five feet eight, she is all legs and lips and cheekbones and sultry gaze. Long-time best friend, but is she really a mean-spirited bitch beneath the outer beauty? Is it possible for reserved and insecure Alexandra to overcome her conflicting emotions to find love and romance? And if she does, is there such a thing as true and lasting love in today's chaotic and instant gratification world? READER REVIEWS "While Risky Love is #1 in the Alexandra Series, it really is a continuation of the Samantha's Love and Romance Series. Different characters, different plot, different ending, but the same contemporary romance that keeps you turning the pages wanting more. Love scenes are hot and heavy, the characters are real and believable, and the storyline moves along at a good pace. Good writing and I am now a DDD fan." - Susan Pontleroy "I love Denise Daniella Darcy's books. One cool thing in all of her books is she provides an alternate ending, which I really like. It keeps you guessing not only to the end, but past that to the second ending as well. A unique way of writing. I also like the length. Some readers prefer super long novels, but I like the ones that you can read without having to keep checking back because you can't remember some important detail. Getting lost in the complexities isn't for me. But keeping me interested and absorbed, that is what DDD does." - Julie Shelbry "I really enjoyed this book. It was romantic and real and believable yet not over the top. Too often I find that the romance novels are too in depth and lose me somewhere along the way. Risky Love has a good story and interesting characters who could actually be your best friend, mother or father. I like the shorter length also, where I can read it from start to finish and still keep track of everyone and what is happening. I am a fan and think that Denise Darcy has come up with a winning formula here." - Alexis Hargraves Like multiple endings? 'Triple D' has a SPECIAL TREAT for her readers. Each story in this series has an additional totally unique and different ending that dramatically changes the outcome. And the best part- it is absolutely FREE for her readers. Triple D writes stimulating contemporary romances with passion, humor and a down to earth feel that resonates with her readers. Written for readers of young adult, new adult, and teen romance. She writes with a similar style to Catherine Bybee, Debbie Macomber and Melody Anne. Don't miss any of the books in Alexandra's Love & Romance Series Risky Love - Book 1 Candid Love - Book 2 Comic Con Love - Book 3 Special Love - Book 4 And don't miss any of the books in Samantha's Love & Romance Series First Love - Book 1 Rebound Love - Book 2 Cowboy Love - Book 3 Casual Love - Book 4… (meer)

I received this e-book as part of the Librarything Early Reviewers' program.

When this book began, involving a high school cheerleader and her boyfriend under the bleachers... I kept waiting for some form of protection to be used... But no. Then It turned out to be a dream... As did another steamy scene, so no problem.

But the overall premise of this book really bothered me. A young girl who has low self esteem falls for a handsome cop.. She doesn't tell him she's a Virgin, sleeps with him, doesn't use protection and is then devastated when he takes off after getting an emergency call. More scenes with low self esteem,etc... Followed by a neat tie-up and resolution.

I agree with an earlier reviewer that this short book should be rewritten. If this is a young adult book and involves sex, please have a condom nearby for the young lovers to use! And more character development would be good. Perhaps a couple more dates before they have sex. Have her tell him it's her first time.

The story seems rushed and somewhat incomplete.

I also found it odd that the person who sent the book for review asked for a 4-5 star review. I thought the idea of the Early reviewers program was to write an honest review, not be coerced by a free book. ( )
