Everyhing and a Kite by Ray ROmano Stand up comedian who talks about a lot of different subjects, mostly how men can get away with doing certain chores, being blamed for things they didn't do or say, etc. Baby schedules, watching sports on tv, just things kids say, mostly profanity. He explains the title of the book and it makes TOTAL sense. I loved this book. Of course, I do like Ray Romano, my favourite comedian all time hands down. But the book is hillarious and he offers humor to relate to real life human experiences. It's a great read and makes you think about how similar situations you may be in his. He gives his views on kids, marriage and yes the all time favourite - family. Providing hillarious examples for each to illustrate his points. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
Onderscheidingen
In a books that is at once laugh-out-loud funny and all-too-true to life, comedy-talent-turned-television-star Ray Romano goes home again, revealing that the source of his inspiration is heritage, hearth and family. As did his stand-up comedy and his present, top-rated CBS-TV program, Romano draws on his real-life experience as a husband, a father, a father of twins, a son with parents living very very close, and a brother, to make readers laugh and laugh harder. A quick little read. This was a free used book from Thriftbooks.com on 1/17/2022.
It is barely a memoir. Ray mentions random moments in his life, mostly about his wife and four kids, and then expands on those moments with satire comedy. At the beginning, he had me cracking up, then it really fell flat.
A lot of his real life sounds exactly like his life on the TV show, “Everyone Loves Raymond”. That appears to be his real personality. I just love that show and can watch reruns over and over and crack up every time. ( )
