London is strange and beautiful, conventional and crazy, traditional and subversive. This book celebrates its diversity. See the fake 10 Downing Street and God's Own Junkyard. Discover a vibrant multicultural market, and find out where an old-school gentlemen buys his art, wine and umbrellas. See how the city commemorates unsung heroes and the Queen Mother. 111 wonderful stories - read them in this insider's guide! Book jacket. Geen bibliotheekbeschrijvingen gevonden. |

Borrowed from the library: I compliled a written list of 22 things I might feasibly visit some time. Others are interesting but perhaps more to look at if you happen to be passing than worthy of a special trip (certain notable shops, statues etc.)
Some are perhaps already pretty well known ; but generally a really useful, interesting book for anyone who's 'done' all the famous stuff and wants to branch out.
I am dead set on visiting Hampstead, the Hindu temple at Neasden and Eel Pie Island.
