You run across a book that offers everything you enjoy: Romance, humor, hot Hero, strong Heroine and steamy times. The first part, Aubrey's POV, had all of that. A chance meeting at a convenience store merges these character through a cross country trip of funny times with a goat, camping you name it to a gasp...cliffhanger. "So yeah, you're right. I'm not attracted to you. It's more like I'm captivated by you." If you stopped with Part 1, you'd wonder why is their story to end here. But Part 2, is all about the why and forgiveness as told by Chance's POV. This is the part of the review where I slightly contradict myself. This was my favorite part. Most alpha males are all about the chest pound, bulldozering the heroine to win her favor. I mean the book's title is Cocky Bastard, you'd expect that, right? Well, no. He behaves like a male should. He knows he was in the wrong. He knows he needs to earn her trust. Is he making himself present? Yes, but backs off at the right times. Totally endeared him to me. However, at the same time, this was my least favorite part as the pace slowed considerably to Part 1. In all, it was a fun, sexy, romantic read. If you are looking for that complete novel to get lost in, look no further as this book has what you are looking for. At first, I wasn't sure if I liked this. Aubrey was kind of irritating and the story was sort of boring. But then it switched to Chance's point of view and the story took a turn I wasn't expecting and it got a lot better. Chance's Australian accent was fun to listen to and the smut in the latter half of the book was pretty good. The goat was funny and I'm glad she kept him. Chance was sweet, he worked so hard to get Aubrey. I wish someone would buy me coffee everyday. Not too bad, just needed to give it a chance. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe

Fiction.
Romance.
From New York Times Bestsellers, Penelope Ward & Vi Keeland, comes a sexy new standalone novel. He was someone who belonged in my wildest fantasies instead of a rest stop in the middle of Nebraska.A sexy, cocky, Australian named Chance was the last person I expected to run into on my cross-country drive. When my car broke down, we made a deal. Next thing I knew, we were traveling together, spending sexually-tense nights in hotels and taking unplanned detours. My ordinary road trip turned into the adventure of a lifetime. It was all fun and games until things got intense.I wanted him, but Chance wouldn't make a move. I thought he wanted me too, but something was holding him back.I wasn't supposed to fall for the cocky bastard, especially when I knew we'd be going our separate ways. All good things must come to an end, right?Except our ending was one I didn't see coming.
