It was so easy to fall in love with Ethan as I watched him through Lissa’s eyes. He is a gentleman through and through but still manages to be tough as nails without coming off like a complete ass!
Lissa is an incredible young woman and she knows what, and who, she wants. And I love the way she goes after it, or rather him!
This is also the first time I’ve run into any one with an aversion to bananas, their texture and the sound they make when chewed, other than a young woman that I worked with a number of years ago. I found it very unusual then and even more so now that I know more about SPD and some of its symptoms from the mildest to the most severe.
Not only did Ms. Foss write an incredible debut novel but she wrote one very memorable for the love story, memorable for the anguish of substance abuse and its impact on family members, and the effects of Sensory Processing Disorder on those who endure it and the families it touches.
I highly recommend Shiver by C.M. Foss and give five scorching hot cups of Room With Books coffee!
