After the excellent first volume (see book #99) this feels a little pedestrian in its execution. While the visual are stunning and there’s some excellent character moments, I didn’t feel that this arc advanced the story in any significant way. ( )

I LOVE the art in this book, this is the first comic I've ever read on a tablet and everything really pops on my iPad screen, though I wouldn't want to read it on anything smaller than an iPad2. I just wish it was set all in the fantasy world instead of involving the modern world, though I do get that's where most of the characterization is coming from. ( )

Fantasy comic collection about two worlds coming together
Not having read Volume 1, I came in at a bit of a disadvantage. It takes places on two worlds, ours and a fantasy world called Terrenos. 2 brothers are reunited after one disappeared into Terrenos where he aged faster.
This volume deals with their time on Earth as Mikey tries to find Blades to help them. His brother, Brennan, helps in his quest but all sorts of powers from both worlds intervene and try to stop them in different ways.
Engaging and well-written, this series is well-illustrated and quite entertaining.
