You have no idea how badly I want to give this five stars. It's clever and fresh and this version of Peter is one of my favorites: snarky, evil, but with a squishy candy center.

Unfortunately, this fic included a big fat no-no for me when it comes to Steter fics: Derek bashing. I don't care how it happens or how minor or how extreme it is, if Derek comes off as an ass I NO LIKEY!

Honestly, I still feel a bit like a cheater if I read Steter when I could be reading Sterek. Frankly, it's a miracle I read Steter at all. But yeah, I do love Peter, and this Peter is hilarious. I don't mind Derek being in a Steter fic, but does the writer have to turn him into an ass? I have no idea in what Teen Wolf universe it would be at all believable that Derek would force himself on anyone, even for something as small as a kiss. Sure, I can see him being all growly and suspicious of Peter's motives but the other? Yeah, no, not happening.

I'm actually feeling a bit pissy about this right now. I had fun reading this, laughed out loud on multiple occasions, but ultimately I feel more than a bit cheated out of complete enjoyment.

I spent this afternoon browsing Steter fics on GR, adding 43 Steter fics to my to-read shelf. But I think what I really need to do right now is find a nice Sterek fic to read, one with a tag like "Derek is a good boyfriend."

In the meantime, I don't know how to rate this. Since I keep staring at the flashing cursor trying to decide what star I should click on and it doesn't seem to be helping I'm going to just leave it blank. I guess if you don't mind Derek the Dick, you'll probably enjoy this fic.

So this is the first Steter I have read to completion ... and though it will probably also be the last, it is such a smartly contrived and unique piece of fan fiction that what I didn't feel for the ship is totally made up by how entertained I was in every other aspect of this work.

There are barely any full sentences. No paragraphs. Erratic punctuation and emoticons abound. Because this story unfolds in the same manner all stories unfold during this time we live in - over IM and social media. A series of text messages, e-mails, Facebook statuses and messages and Instagrams relay this Steter from the proposition through to the "I love yous". And not only is this fic a very cleverly composed piece using compelling casual dialogue (a perceptive study of interpersonal conversation it is) to tell the story and a number of photos from the actual casts' postings, but also an ingenious method of using mixed social media in an effective way to bring a believable fluid format to story telling.

Taylorpotato's Peter is my Peter. Clever, snarky, narcissitic, possibly ruthless and under all of it - likeable and as vulnerable as anyone else. As far as Stiles is portrayed ... okay, I guess. It is a bit hard for me, because Steter is not my ship. So Stiles reads OOC for me. I simply can't imagine Stiles choosing Peter, even this Peter - its in my head that Stiles goes with Derek and if Peter goes with anyone - its Lydia (another reason I don't ship Steter, I find Peter very het), but despite all the sorted notions stuck in my head, this is a five star effort. Every star for getting me to like a work - despite not really liking what it is about.
