She is impressed by all of the different things that her mother does for her. During her day she also thinks of different pieces of advice her mother have told her. This is a good story for all ages of elementary school. There are many places children can relate to from fractions to bad days. This would be a good book to use in the classroom because it follows a good message. The mother in this story is the typical mother for our culture, caring, kind and helpful. When she rips her jeans on the playground her mother is their to sew it. She also uses the fractions the daughter learned at school to make cake. ( )
