As a child of the 1950’s I can remember that as part of The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show [which had other names as well] occasionally had a segment for "Fractured Fairy Tales." The segment had presented familiar fairy tales and similar stories for children, which had been changed altered storylines and updated for the late 1950’s.

Author, J.A. Kazimer, has taken the beloved story of Little Red Riding Hood and has turned it into an updated adult, somewhat erotic tale, complete with her Grandmother, a Woodsman; and of course the Big Bad Wolf.

As expected, in this story, while the Big Bad Wolf gets what he deserves; Little Red develops an interest in the woodsman which quickly becomes a matter of a romantic relationship for having saved her life. As an adult looking back at the original story I loved as a child, I can now see Red developing the same kind of interest towards the woodsman, but that wouldn’t be appropriate for a young innocent child, now would it?

You’re probably wondering what happens to Granny in this story, aren’t you? Well, I’ve got to leave something out, don’t I?

For having rekindled a fairy tale I love as a child, and making it grownup; I’m giving Ms. Kazimer 5 STARS.
