Short glimpse into a man who married to his high school sweetheart had 3 kids young and who he thought he was going to spend the rest of his life with but lost her breast cancer when he was just 40. Now 6 years later his 21 year old son signs him up on a dating website called NotMy1stRodeo.com. Mack Tucker has never even thought about another woman in the 6 years since his wife died. When he finally gives in and goes on a date with a woman his son picked out for him on the site he is scared.

Karen Thompson married for what she thought was love but it crashed and burned when all he did was cheat. It also left knocked down her self esteem a bit. After a few disastrous blinds dates she decides to give the dating website a try.

Mack and Karen are both instantly attracted to each other and have a wild night of sex but Mack feels such guilt over it he runs away the next morning.

We mainly get Mack’s POV during this and see how he struggles with everything. It has to be hard losing the only woman you’ve ever been with and still feeling like your cheating on her and her memory if you find someone else and move on.

This was a sweet second chance story with a heartbreaking scene towards the end but I liked the ending.
