This graphic novel is the love story of Romeo and Juliet written in plain English. It tells of their love at first sight and what they decide to do to be together forever when their families hate each other. This is my first graphic novel. I have never got the chance to read the classic version either. I thought it was ok but think I might have liked the classic version better. I am glad this version is available to introduce the story to people that would have trouble following the story otherwise. It could be nice to compare scenes from both plays ( ) This Graphic Novel is a version of the classic Romeo and Juliet. The two lovers fall in love, only to believe that they will never be able to be together. Both are willingly trapped in love to each other. In this tragedy both lovers have a dreadfully fateful ending. Romeo and Juliet is one of my favorite plays. I was probably the only senior in High School that actually enjoyed it. I bet more people would have enjoyed it if they could have read this version of Romeo and Juliet. I would have the students come up with a different ending, a happy ending. The students would each write a different ending, and the class would vote on the best ending. We would then reread the story with the new ending. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
Shakespeare's wonderful play is as relevant today as it was when it was written, over 400 years ago. As with all our Shakespeare titles the period is faithful to the Bard's intentions, and there is a choice of three text versions. Geen bibliotheekbeschrijvingen gevonden. |
