A little girl gets snatched while playing in the snow and her tiny body is found days later. This is a 43-year old murder mystery that was finally solved, but was it really? There are many people who don't think so. There's also the story of a transgender woman who died in terribly suspicious circumstances, a case that would come to be the focus of change amongst the local police force due to the interactions she had with officers on the night of her death, as well as cause an outcry amongst the community. And who really killed the Al-Hilli family in the French Alps, leaving two little girls without parents, and why? Was there a link to a Middle Eastern dictator? And what secrets did Mrs. Al-Hilli keep from her family? These are just a few of the cases discussed in this true crime anthology. From the victim or victims, the crime scene, and the criminal investigations that ensued, we follow twelve true crime stories, some of which are solved, and some that are still a mystery. We also take a look at cases where wrongful convictions have occurred, and why. These true murder stories will take you on a journey across the globe, and even back in time in some cases. Family massacres, individual true crime murder cases, and situations where murder goes unseen in a suicide case, plus many more, will all keep you enthralled, from chapter to chapter.… (meer)

This is an excellent collection of 12 true crime cases; some solved and some not. Each thought-provoking story is relayed in a manner that engages and challenges the listener to absorb the case details, and in some accounts, come their own conclusions. Interesting, well-documented cases, and a likable, well-modulated reader make this audiobook anthology a must have for anyone with an interest in true crime mysteries. ( )

The audio book version of True Crime Stories Vol. 2 was as interesting as the first volume which I also listened to. Twelve cases, more interesting to me than volume 1, are very well narrated so it's easy to follow. This is a great audio version to use for short transportation hops when you don't want to listen to something that lasts hours on the same topic. I received an audible copy from the author for review. ( )

This was a straight-forward true crime book. Pretty much just reporting the facts and the outcome if there was one. Interesting mix of cases, from just a few years ago to the Villisca Axe murders which happened over a hundred years ago. The narration was crisp, easy to understand and the stories easy to follow. Interesting to True crime fans and armchair detectives. ( )

I received a copy of this for free in exchange for an honest review

I enjoyed this book far more than I enjoyed the third book, however, this I instead listened to as an audiobook instead of read. A different narrator should have been chosen or the voice director should have been different. The voice tone makes you want to fall asleep and seems so robotic, even in lines where it should be emphasized with some emotion they were bland. It makes it difficult to listen to and keep your focus. ( )

What a great crime biopic book; I could not stop listening. Mr. Rosewood discussed 12 shocking true crime murder cases from all over the world and from different decades. He starts each story by giving a background on the victim, or victims, to include the actual murder scene- the only exception is the living victim who was labeled the “Angel of Death”. He then discusses leads, suspects and in some cases highlights of the trials. He does an excellent job of delivering the facts of each case. It is depressing that so many of the cases he covered still remain unsolved. But, as in “Snatched from the Snow”, justice can be found for the victims even years later.
I truly enjoy this True Crime Book. I am looking forward to reading/listening to more books by Mr. Rosewood. ( )
