This was a very interesting story with lots of drama and plot twists involved. As a whole I enjoyed the story as well as many of the characters, obviously excluding Lady Catherine and Mr. Collins. I also enjoyed reading how things worked out for Mr. Darcy, Elizabeth, Charlotte, and Dr. Trent in the final chapter that took place 3 months later but I would have liked more of a ending for Colonel Fitzwilliam, Mr. Bingley, Jane, and the rest of the Bennet family. Catherine Bilson did a wonderful job. I enjoyed this book greatly. Deze bespreking was geschreven voorLibraryThing lid Weggevers. This is certainly an interesting 'What if' tale of Jane Austen's original tale. The antagonists here are Mr. Collins, who is Elizabeth's cousin and Catherine, Darcy's aunt. Mr. Collins, who is also the husband of Elizabeth's dear friend, Charlotte, turns out to be a bad example for a clergyman. He tries to forcefully impose himself on the cousin who rejected him some time ago. Elizabeth manages to flee but slips over a bank, hurts her head, and passes out. As days pass on, she recovers while the others investigate the situation. Just few minutes ago the horrifying incident took place, Darcy had written Elizabeth a letter clearing things out, which he later regrets assuming his actions to be the result of her passing out. Things start unfolding and feelings start changing among the characters. geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
A Pride And Prejudice What If...' story. What if... Mr Collins had been even more despicable than in Jane Austen's original tale? Would such an infamous relation destroy Elizabeth and Darcy's chance of happiness forever, or would his actions set in motion an entirely different sequence of events?
