I reckon that my rating is entirely based on so many emotive situations -without purple prose, luckily- and burning sex, the two aspects in which resides the best of Sloane Kennedy writing, according my guidelines and tastes.
Because if I would want evaluate this book by its logic and consistency, it would be a titanic task, the plot is full of holes: To what Dani says in her review concerning Rafe's biological father and the little sense of Rafe seeking revenge on his brothers, I add that is impossible to me to believe that Rafe, when hacking Barretti Security systems and looking for his brothers personal files, he would not search for anything about himself. What? Is he not human? In my opinion, those are flaws more than basic in a plot that's built on mud premises.
Still, I'm going through a season on which what I want in my reads is a good dose of melodrama spiced with plenty of sexual tension, in exchange I'm willing to tolerate lacks of logical reasoning and to put in play all suspension of disbelief that I'm capable. Within this frame, A Family Chosen Series is demonstrating to be the perfect brain candy. (
