This book truly is an excellent way to become more intimately acquainted with God. Some names were ones I already knew well; others, not so much. It has been powerful, learning more who God is through learning the meanings of His various names. This makes a great little daily devotional, which can last a month long (well, 31 days; perfect for months like October, or, better still, December).

When I received the book and saw how short it was, along with the chapter titles, I decided I just wanted to sit and read to discover what was shared. As I read each chapter, I would discover a nugget of truth that caused me to pause, meditate and consider how the name would affect my view of God. Each chapter will help people learn how to take the name of God and use it in prayer. The number of days in the book is 31 so people can use it repeatedly every month.
Whether someone is new to prayer or knowing the various names of God that reveal various aspects of His character, the book can be a tool to aid in one’s spiritual walk with the Lord. Perhaps, like me, you might want to read it and discover the nuggets of truth God has for you and allow those nuggets to draw you near to God.
