A collection of short poems nominally set to Nursary Rhymes. I didn't recognise many fothe rhymes but this didn't impede enjoyment of the poems. They are all fairly pointed - but many of the targets are somewhat dated especially considering that it's a 2006 book. The targets are also mostly UK and occasionally EU centric which will limit it's appeal to readers outside these areas. The humour is also a bit contrived in many instances.

I found most of the poems scanned well to the tunes but there were oneor two where the words didn't seem to fit properly - no doubt the accomanying (unplayed) audio CD would have solved this issue. Most of the poems are short, only a verse or two, even when there underlying Rhyme is substantially longer.

Worth dipping into now and again but once you've found the first one funny, it has no particular impact to read the rest, i's a concept rather than a work of art. ( )
