ARC Review: Perfect For You (Sunshine Creek Vineyard) by Candis Terry

Candis Terry is a one click author for me. She is perfect escapism reading. Her characters never take themselves too seriously and despite that, her novels manage to appeal to the heart, stimulate the hormones and continuously fall into the irresistible category. Though not as emotional as Jordan and Lucy's journey of mistakes and regret in A Better Man, Perfect for You has it's moment of unforgettable. Brooke and Declan's story is more about living life to the fullest than dwelling on past regrets. Brooke is a risk taker. She knows what she wants and when it matters most, has no problem with asserting herself. Declan can learn a thing or to from this firecracker. The ability to get out of your head for a while is reason enough to give this author a try.

Perfect For You is pretty much that if you’re looking for a smart romantic diversion. Candis Terry is a new-to-me author, but one who I will definitely be looking forward to reading more of in the future.

Both Declan and Brooke are interesting, fully realized characters with a lot of backstory. But it’s only Declan who changes during the course of the novel as he realizes his feelings for Brooke and how he’s compartmentalized his emotions in order to succeed professionally.

Another Hit! PERFECT FOR YOU is book 2 in author Candis Terry's Sunshine Creek Vineyard series. PERFECT FOR YOU is brother Declan's story. This is almost a friends to lovers story, in that Brooke and Declan are friends to a point. They work together. Brooke is Declan's assistant, so it is a co-workers romance but not a trite one. If you haven't read the first book in the series, A BETTER MAN, don't worry you won't be lost. You will want to read that book, mostly because you'll fall in love with these brothers. Declan is "workaholic" of the brothers, but honestly all of them are workaholics. They are all still dealing with the death of their parents and now Declan's world is thrown even more out of focus by his "new" feelings for his assistant Brooke. Brooke meanwhile has always been attracted to Declan but she's kept those feelings under control and hidden. Now she's wondering if it's time to shake thing up for Declan and make him start to enjoy life. I loved watching these two come to terms with their emotions and how those emotions will affect their lives. I loved watching Declan unbend just a bit and actually deal with his feelings. Watching these two come together was such fun. I loved the setting, I loved the secondary characters, I loved everything about it. Fans of great contemporary romances with well written realistic characters and engaging story-lines will fall in love with this series and especially PERFECT FOR YOU. I highly recommend this one to all fans of excellent love stories. The characters aren't perfect but they are perfect for each other! ( )
