I wanted a Tarot deck for a card game and because I've been researching the history and meanings attached to the art. I am really captivated with this deck. The art is more evocative of the archetypes than the traditional deck because it's easier to identify with the silhouettes, but it's still identifiably in keeping with the Rider-Waite-Smith deck (more so than many contemporary decks I'm seeing). It's my favorite so far. (The accompanying book is not annoying, which is the highest praise I can muster for any such book I've yet seen.) ( ) geen besprekingen | voeg een bespreking toe
Even the brightest light comes with its own shadow. This deck creates a time for visions, realizations, and, above all, healing. The main motif is the mandorla, the oval-shaped portal created when two circles overlap. A symbol of the divine feminine, the mandorla is a healing gateway. Where it opens there is healing and wholeness. The companion booklets for most Lo Scarabeo decks are in five languages: English, Spanish, French, Italian, and German.
