STORY-LINE SPARKLERS OR SPANKINGS BY STACY EATON:

Can you guess from the title, which Celebration resident's the subject of the latest Celebration book, Sparklers or Spankings? Yes, you guessed it; Harper finally meets her man. Harper Reed, owner of The Inn and Out Bed and Breakfast, is facing a crisis. After years of running the inn, making the improvements needed, and proving her specialty services a success, her business is in jeopardy.

Attorney, Mason Tidewater's, in town on business. Business which will negatively affect Harper's bed and breakfast. When fate steps in, Mason and Harper learn the meaning of immediate attraction. As things heat up, Mason must make decisions which will affect both their lives. Will Mason chose wisely? Are sparklers, or spankings on the horizon? CHARACTERS, PLOTTING, DEVELOPMENT:
Firstly, I must say how much I love small town Celebration, residents and atmosphere. A place where everyone is family; noisy, gossipy, friendly, and caring. In her latest Celebration book, Eaton features Harper Reid and the slightly kinky Inn and Out Bed and Breakfast. Harper provides a service for fading relationships in the hope of spicing it up and giving their relationships another chance at happiness and love.

I laughed and laughed as Mason came in the front door of the Inn; he's unsure where he found himself. To top it off, surrounded by the noisy citizens of Celebration, left Mason in a different world from Washington, D.C. Announcing to the bar, his vital statistics and reasons for staying in Celebration, made me howl with laughter.

Mason’s character’s is larger than life with all the characteristics we look for in a man. Not only is his 6 ft 5 frame mouth-watering, he’s a good man with a conscience. Mason’s also hiding a trauma in his life he will have to resolve before he can move on and find the happiness he deserves.

Harper’s character is typical of small town USA. She’s smart and well-educated; she wants to help people by providing her unique service. The road to love is not smooth for Harper and Mason, as Mason has two secrets he will have to divulge to Harper. One he's carried for years.

The emotional tension was hot and steamy without the use of sex or crude language. I could feel the intense emotion between Harper and Mason. As a result, at one point in the story-line I cried for the hurt and disillusionment. As well as, from seeing the scars Mason carries.

Finally, in concluding my reviews for romance novel, Sparklers or Spankings, I found a well-developed story-line with smooth and steady pacing. The secondary characters add depth to the story and gives glimpses into their lives before and after their own book. The reader feels they know each of the citizens of Celebration and the issues in their lives. You will never tire of the relationships or people who populate Celebration.

As I stated in each of my earlier reviews for this series, I would love to live in Celebration, have the deep friendships they know, and the love for their fellow-man; if only Celebration and its citizens actually existed. I would not hesitate to buy this novel for myself or a friend.

SPARKLERS OR SPANKINGS RECOMMENDATION: STARS 4

Although this novel is part of a series, it is a standalone as are each of the books. As a result, I have no reservation stating you should consider reading the earlier books for the fullest enjoyment. You will not regret doing so.
