(  ) KathyC200 | Mar 22, 2020 | The Niagra Falls conspiracy was so Austen Powers, but it did add to the suspense in this book. The plot was excellent, equal parts amusing and tense. I so hope there are more books about Verity and her friends. Recommended to everyone who loves a goos cosy-mystery as well as lots of humour. A missing aunt, a suspicious entity with technology in the basement, a probable kidnapping with the ransom money disappearing along with the banker, trouble for both our protagonist and her police detective boyfriend, and good friend who really do try to help. The publisher's blurb gives a good hook but doesn't give a clue as to the fun. I like the audios and Petrea Burchard really knows how to be a fantastic narrator! (
